The 2017 Heartstone Sangiovese
The 2017 Sangiovese (100% varietal) is also outstanding, offering medium-bodied, perfumed, complex notes of cherries, blackberries, flowers, and a touch of earth. As with the Estate Riserva, it has a great texture and outstanding balance. 91 pts Jeb Dunnuck
The 2018 Heartstone Sangiovese
The 2018 Sangiovese has some ripe cherry and strawberry fruits as well as notes of leather, licorice, and dried herbs. This spicy, medium-bodied Sangiovese has some firm tannins, good balance, and a lengthy finish. I like its overall balance and it's well worth enjoying, although I think a year in bottle will do it well. 90 pts Jeb Dunnuck.
The 2019 Maloney Sangiovese
Sour cherry pie aromas are dusted in oregano and marjoram on the nose of this bottling of the Pepe clone, which was aged for 28 long months in oak. The palate's broad cherry and herb flavors are overtaken by the oaky caramel elements. — Matt Kettmann
